Our Why

The binational region is most vulnerable to immigration and housing insecurity which raises questions about belonging, access to higher education, and economic mobility for Transfronterizo kids.

The Transfronterizo Institute cultivates and leverages the unique experiences, knowledge, and bilingualism of transfronterizo students, transforming educational settings to be more inclusive and acknowledging the strengths of those navigating multiple borders.
